On June 22nd, I am proud to announce the launch of a powerful information portal “The John T. Wills Chronicles” designed to be a potent source of empowering knowledge for the enhancement of community and the minds of mankind. I will be using this online information source as the new home for my blog “Thought Provoking Perspectives” to include its use as a vehicle for other contributors who share my passion for the written word. In addition, I am extending an offer to all authors, writers, poets, and progressive thinkers to become a contributor as a way to promoter yourself, your skills, your work, and to benefit others with the enlightenment of your stories.

“The John T. Wills Chronicles” will also introduce an exciting new Blogtalkradio Show called “The Book Tree” hosted by the SILVER RAE FOX. Silver will be the Literary Ambassador during on-air conversations with authors, poets, and literary minds every Wednesday starting June 2, 2010 at 8:30 - 9:00 PM (est) http://www.blogtalkradio.com/john-t-willschronicles. Silver Rae Fox will also be one of the main voices for The Book Tree Literacy Project designed to promote literacy.

"The Book Tree Internet Radio Show" is intended to showcase authors, writers, wordsmiths, poets and other relevant content to empower the minds of a broad base community who are interested in a variety of genres. The show will serve as inspiration to those individuals who aspire to develop writing skills and have a desire to publish their material. A project soon to follow, "The Book Tree Literacy Project", will focus on the importance of literacy, as well to promote and advocate literacy for children and adults in every community.

Spoken Word Jazz Artist Russel Blake Has Written a Must-Read Book for Men and Women

Los Angeles/NYC Based Spoken Word Jazz Artist Russel Blake has a new book that is sweeping the country. His new book is titled "Proverbs 31:The Virtuous Black Woman Volume 1" is published by Man of Psalms Publishing.

Proverbs 31: The Virtuous Black Woman Volume 1" is significantly bonded to his passion for the empowerment, support, success and edification of Women. In this writing, specifically African/Caribbean/African-American Women, Black Women represent a distinct and singular barometer of the state of our community. Historically, there acumen of nurturing and insightful acuity of wise understanding inarguably saved the race. Modern times presents a Black Woman both academically educated and morally edified. Fueling the ranks of successful entrepreneurship, Church pulpits and pews, leadership in Corporate America and the Presidencies of stabilized-African nations.

His book speaks to Black men to acknowledge the priceless value/existence of the Black Woman, and to Black Women to assert there rights in deserving unwavering dignity and respect.

Author Russel Blake is a Professional Musician/Concert Soloist/Educator. Thus far he has been privileged to have Performed/Toured/Taught in 65 countries. As a professional Bassist he has had the good fortune to have performed with a wide variety of Artists and situations. From Sonny Rollins, Chaka Khan, Mary Mary, Cybil Shepherd, Tramaine Hawkins, Wynton Marsalis, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Paquito D' Rivera, Harry Belafonte,Brenda Russell, The Lion King & DreamGirls on Broadway in NYC, Micah Stampley, Mary Wells, Pharoah Sanders, etc;... As a Concert Soloist and Educator Mr. Blake was contracted to perform in 8 West African Nations as an Ambassador of Goodwill by the U.S. State Department as well as the State of California Department of Corrections to teach/perform his Music History & Cultural Program to 5000 inmates of Ironwood State Prison. Mr. Blake was also a Kellogg Foundation Artist In Residence Recipient to teach/perform said program to the Kalamazoo & Battle Creek Michigan school districts. He also has taught as a Professor of Electrical Bass Studies at five universities across the country.

Russel Blake will be appearing at the Leimert Park Book Festival in Los Angeles on June 26th signing copies of his book and performing on the main stage. He will also be appearing in Atlanta July 24th at the Literary Cafe at the Annual White Linen Affair with Award Winning Poet Hank Stewart.

Women Writers of God's Word™ Tour Officially Launches in Baltimore on Saturday, May 22, 2010

Minister Kim Y Jackson, founder of Women Writers of God's Word™ will launch official Tour with Annette Morton, Nicole C. Barber, Sonya Ward, Jewel Williams and Joy Turner who will appear at Upward Way Book Store in Baltimore, MD, Saturday, May 22

Jackson founder of Women Writers of God's Word (WWOGW) will be joined by five female authors who will officially kick-off the launch of the Author's Tour that will take place at Upward Way Book Store in Baltimore, MD. In addition to Minister Jackson whose books include This Far by Faith, In the Garden, and True Worship, the participants are Evangelist Annette Morton (Transference of Coverings, Understanding the Role of a Man Over a Woman's Life), Elder Nicole C. Barber (A Restored Vessel: A Guide to Overcoming Trauma), Evangelist Sonya Ward (Fear is Not My Boss), Sister Jewel Williams (The Journal) and Minister Joy Turner (Content…Right Where I Am) The event is scheduled to begin at 2pm. Guests will be formally introduced to the six "Women Writers of God's Word" as each author has an opportunity to share and discuss their books.

Minister Jackson, a self-published author, speaker, educator and leader in the community has brought together the collective gifts and talents of women writers who share a common goal centered around the bible verse Exodus 32:16 which reads "Now the tablets were the wok of God and the writing was the writing of god engraved on the tablet." The mission behind WWOGW is "to coordinate opportunities for Christian Women to present their God inspired writings that impart revelation knowledge, and promote spiritual growth and wholeness."

THE PATHFINDER Babygirl Publishing

The Pathfinder, originally from Kingston, Jamaica, is an author and
poet. He was raised in the South Bronx, and attended Queens College,
in New York City. An avid reader, he developed a love of writing, and
authored over 200 poems before parlaying his interest in writing into
a passion for storytelling. The Pathfinder has had several of his
poems featured on Poetry.com and Russell Simmons Def Jam poetry site.

SYNOPSIS

Born in South Carolina to an influential family, the once promising
life of Dana Estick took a turn for the worse after the death of her
mother. After years of being sexually abused by her father and with no
one to talk to she confided in Brian Washington, a friend of her
father. It wasn't long before she and Brian had an ongoing affair.
Their relationship remained a secret until her father found out. Angry
and enraged, he decided to teach her a lesson, tired of the abuse
nineteen year old Dana Estick flees to the bright light and big city
promises of New York in search of a new beginning and to bury a past
filled with physical and sexual violence at the hands of her father.
What she finds instead is the beginning of a downward spiral filled
with recruitment on the internet, drugs, sex for hire, and betrayal at
every turn. With high hopes of making it in the city, Dana's weakness
for older men would come back to haunt her.
